Four Colleges, a Wealth of Academic Opportunities

The University of New England's four colleges provide both undergraduate and graduate students with a wealth of resources and a variety of educational experiences and research opportunities. Each college has its own identity, but each contributes to the enrichment of the University's academic life.

College of Arts and Sciences
Art classThe College of Arts and Sciences offers more than 30 undergraduate majors, ranging from aquaculture and aquarium science  to sport management. The College has state-of-the art educational facilities and has pioneered the model of integrated, interdisciplinary health and healing education, training, research and practice. College of Osteopathic Medicine
Research on diabetesThe College of Osteopathic Medicine is dedicated to the improvement of life through the education of osteopathic physicians, research and service. The College emphasizes health, healing and primary care for the people of New England and the nation. In addition to the doctor of osteopathic medicine degree, the College also offers internships and residencies, a master of science in medical education leadership, and two graduate programs in public health. College of Pharmacy
A pharmacist at workThe College of Pharmacy began accepting students for its pre-pharmacy phase in fall 2007. Clinical training and research partnerships have been established with Maine Medical Center in Portland, Mercy Health Care Systems in Portland, Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford and Maine General Health and Medical Center in Augusta and Waterville. The College will offer the Doctor of Pharmacy as the entry-level professional degree that will prepare students for careers as pharmacists and/or pharmaceutical scientists. The Doctor of Pharmacy degree is awarded after successful completion of four years of professional study.The four-year, professional program (Pharm.D.) is anticipated to begin fall of 2009 and will be located on UNE's Westbrook College Campus in Portland, Maine.
