English Proficiency
Students will meet the minimum standards for English proficiency at UNE by demonstrating one of the following:

| IELTS | Overall band 6.0 or higher |
| TOEFL | 550 paper based 213 computer based 79 internet based (iBT) or section scores of: Reading - 20 Speaking - 19 Listening - 21 Writing - 17 1. Original score sent from ETS (or copy to be verified by International Admissions) 2. Score must be less than 2 years old. Student may provide a certified older score if student has been continuously studying at a U.S. college/university. |

Students who have not achieved this level of proficiency or have not taken these exams may enroll in an Intensive English Language Program to gain assistance in reaching the minimum proficiency requirements.
Official copies of your TOEFL score can be sent directly to UNE by providing our institution's code (3751) to the testing agency at http://www.toefl.org.
