The University Campus in Biddeford at the mouth of the Saco River and the Atlantic Ocean is a confluence of natural resources that over the years has attracted and inspired students and faculty with an interest in the natural environment.

The Marine Science Education and Research Center provides students, faculty and visiting researchers a window to the sea. This new Center is the only facility of its kind anywhere, giving researchers a unique opportunity to create important new knowledge in marine science, the environment and human health.

The Center provides state-of-the-art facilities for marine education and research and includes a Marine Animal Rehabilitation Center licensed by the National Marine Fisheries Service.
