Comments: Coming from Massachusetts, one might automatically feel like an outsider. However, when I joined the UNE team I was welcomed immediately. UNE is a small community in its own right, with qualities resembling a best friend intertwined with family. The classes and campus are a perfect size in order to learn and socialize throughout your college experience. UNE offers unlimited options and endless support, it would be impossible for a student to feel lost, unrepresented, or insignificant. You’ll see that UNE needs each and everyone one of its students to be complete and we appreciate all of those who have joined us.

Comments: As a graduate of the University of New England, I am excited about the many opportunities to share my own experiences as a student with the future students of UNE. With convenient and easy access to Portland and Boston, dozens of beaches, skiing and snowboarding, outlet shopping, and much more, UNE is the perfect location for any student looking for a first-class education in state-of-the-art facilities. Come visit and see everything we have to offer here at UNE and be ready to make Connections. For Life.

Educational background: BS in Family Studies, University of New Hampshire, 2007
Comments: UNE Students have the unique opportunity to become deeply involved with an interconnected, academically rigorous, supportive community - while spending their free time on the beach or at the ski mountains. Coming from a bigger university, I can easily see how UNE offers the benefits of a large university, but with all the perks of a smaller school. You will know your faculty and your faculty will know you. You will have a chance to participate in research, study away, and get involved with student life. With our close proximity to both Portland, Maine (named the Most Livable City in America by Forbes.com and America's Foodiest City by Bon Appetit in 2009) and Boston, we have access to major cultural hubs of the Northeast, while maintaining our strong community feel on campus. Come and visit us - we'd love to show you around. And if you're a high school student in Maine, check with your guidance office to see when I'll be visiting!

Comments: I have grown up with UNE in my backyard. I never realized, until becoming employed here, how much UNE has to offer students and members of our community. Here at UNE you can dream big and find the resources and people to help you make those dreams a reality.

Comments:I grew up in southern Connecticut and I would have never imagined moving up to Maine, but here I am now, immersed in the culture that UNE has to offer. As a recent graduate of Western New England College (now University), I appreciate the comparative size and atmosphere here at UNE. With over 1400 students living on campus, you'll find the vibrant campus make for a perfect home away from home. It doesn't hurt to be only a short walk away from some of the most beautiful beaches in the country! I hope your transition to college is as smooth as possible, so please come up to Biddeford and visit with us!

Comments: Having lived all over the east coast I can honestly say there is no place quite like Maine with all it has to offer. Beaches, rivers, lakes, mountains, parks, cities, arts, music, cuisine; the list could go on and on. At UNE all these options are at your fingertips. With a great faculty to student ratio, a wide variety of majors and class offerings, and incredible array of clubs and activities, boredom is about the only thing we don't offer here. Check out our web site to learn more or better yet, come visit us in person.
