St. Francis College Alumni
The legacy of St. Francis College at the University of New England can be seen everywhere on University Campus - at the St. Francis Heritage Plaza, the St. Francis Room in the library, and in the names of so many of the buildings, such as Decary Hall and Assisi, Siena, Avila and Padua residence halls.
The vitality of the campus is a tribute to the vision of the many Franciscans and the Decary brothers who lie at rest in the well-kept cemetery on campus, an obelisk marking their achievement.
The legacy of St. Francis can also be felt in the strong liberal arts core and tradition of social consciousness of all the University's academic programs. "Educate to Serve" is at the heart of the University's programs, whether it be the College of Osteopathic Medicine, the many other health professions, or programs such as environmental studies, marine science and education.
And it's no wonder that the legacy is so vitally present when so many St. Francis alumni are actively involved in the University, serving on the Board of Trustees, the Alumni Council and as volunteers in so many capacities.
