Collection Scope and Content

This collection contains 42 letters, postcards and documents from and about Captain Harry T. Joubert (created 1942-1945) and mailed to his wife, Mrs. Harry T. Joubert (Lillian) of Holyoke, Massachusetts and Miss Jillian Boyeors of Holyoke. In the letters to his wife Lillian, he talks about a baby, missing her, staying faithful and asking her to write more. Captain Joubert places Naples, Italy as his station. Accompanying the letters are a $300 ticket from the Railway Express Agency, a Mother’s Day postcard from the Army exchange, and an envelope from Hickey, the Flower Lady of Holyoke.
