Your state and federal financial aid, with the exception of federal work-study, may be applied to your study abroad experience as long as you participate in a program approved by the Office of International Programs. You are usually awarded the same amount of aid you would receive studying at UNE.
Schedule an appointment with the financial aid office to discuss how a semester abroad will impact your aid package.

Fulbright Grants
The United States Congress created the Fulbright Program in 1946, immediately after World War II, to foster mutual understanding among nations through educational and cultural exchange.
Peace Corps
The Peace Corps traces its roots and mission to 1960, when then-Senator John F. Kennedy challenged students at the University of Michigan to serve their country in the cause of peace by living and working in developing countries. From that inspiration grew an agency of the federal government devoted to world peace and friendship.
"Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work."
