College of Arts and Sciences Academic Advising
CAS students are assigned a faculty advisor who will serve as their primary resource for academic guidance and planning throughout their matriculation in their program. In most instances a student's academic advisor will be a faculty member from the department that houses his/her major.

Although academic advisors are available to assist students in fulfilling major and graduation requirements,
the ultimate responsibility for these matters rests with the student. When appropriate, academic advisors may also assist students with career planning and/or preparation for attending graduate school.
Students are also encouraged to avail themselves of additional services provided by the Counseling and Career Center and the Learning Assistance Center.
The links on this page are intended to provide students with information that will allow for successful engagement of the CAS academic advisement system. In situations where students cannot acquire the advising information they need by using this resource and by working with their advisor, they may seek the personal assistance of their
department advising liaison or they may contact the
CAS Director of Advising, John Tumiel.
