Personal Interests
II am an expressive painter who focuses on the process of painting as inquiry into the self. I love the act of applying pigment to a surface and the exploration of how that process is unique to every individual. As an instructor I place myself in the role of facilitator so that students kind find and nurture their own inner wisdom and creative source. Once this wisdom is accessed the process of learning highly technical skills of painting can be taken on and the acquisition of these skills will be that much more enriching. To meet my own source I paint, hike, kayak, dance, and practice yoga.
