The Center's well-designed instructional and research lab for organic chemistry is unequaled as an undergraduate teaching facility. Its gross anatomy lab is used by medical, health professions and athletic training students, and its fresh tissue lab is one of the most advanced facilities in the world.
Other Alfond Center facilities include:
Marine Science Education
and Research Center

The new Marine Science Education and Research Center, which opened fall 2001, provides students, faculty and visiting researchers a window to the sea. This new Center is the only facility of its kind anywhere, giving researchers a unique opportunity to create important new knowledge in marine science, the environment and human health.
The facility contains two state-of-the-art flow-through teaching seawater laboratories, a third lab dedicated to aquaculture and marine biology research, and a marine mammal rehabilitation clinic, with seal tanks and diagnostic and medical care labs. For more information visit the Marine Science Education and Research Center website.
