Work Experience:
Jim Breyley, Jr., a native of Illinois, has twenty-seven years of teaching experience at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He also has twelve years of administrative experience, having served as Chair/Director of Business Departments/Divisions at three other institutions in addition to UNE for a total of nine years and as an MBA Director at two other institutions for a total of three years.
He has taught at public and private institutions, both large (Arizona State University) and small (Rockford College). He came to the University of New England in August of 2003 as Associate Professor and Chair, Department of Business & Communication.
In addition to his experiences in academia, he has over five years of experience in both the public and private sectors. He worked for the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission and General Electric Credit Corporation, and he managed a privately-owned leasing company.

Personal Activities and Interests:
Jim, his wife, Cathy, and their Weimaraner, Ella, enjoy walking and traveling. Jim is a member of the Board of Directors, Biddeford Saco Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and both he and Cathy serve on the Board of Directors, Biddeford City Little Theatre.
