Your community or civic activity can be completed in a variety of ways:

• Engaging in a minimum of 15 additional hours through one's  internship experience that serves our communities or structured civic engagement activities in taught courses. This activity needs to extend the internship in new directions and not just add additional hours
• Choosing to engage in a minimum of 15 hours of service to our community or civic activity that is independent of other course work
• Engaging in a community or civic activity by writing and submitting an article for local newspapers or organizing and participating in a campus debate, radio or television program.

At the end of the term, each student will submit a Civic Engagement Site Evaluation Form completed by the site supervisor or a copy of a published news article, video or audio tape.
