Are you looking for an exciting major that takes you places you never thought possible?
Global Studies is an interdisciplinary program — drawing on no fewer than ten disciplines — rooted primarily in humanities and social sciences that grounds students in multiple ways of approaching global problems, issues, cultures and relations. You will graduate with breadth that exposes you to varied lenses through which to study the world and depth in two regional concentrations.
A program unlike any other
By earning your Global Studies degree at UNE, you will be part of a truly unique experience. Here you are offered opportunities you won't find at any other Global Studies program — including completing not one, but two, full semesters abroad.
Prepare for a variety of career paths
According to the American Association of Colleges and Universities, nearly three-fourths of employers seek employees with greater cultural competence. You will be a strong applicant for a career in business, non-profit work, teaching and government environments.
