- Is developing a rigorous and competitive undergraduate internship program
- Strives to meet and exceed best practices in internship standards
- Creates and oversees internship programs and courses for CAS
- Encourages student participation in accredited internships
- Assists students with preparations for successful internship experiences, provides resources to aide them in their search for appropriately matching host sites, and acquaints them with and helps prepare them for challenging, rigorous internship positions
- Solicits, maintains and services local, national and international host sites: actively seeks out professional host sites, consults with host sites regarding internship guidelines, helps host sites design academic student internship positions and, advertises host site position openings to students
- Instructs credit-bearing internship courses
- Provides internship resources to faculty, staff, and the UNE community
- Supports CAS faculty and staff in developing, administering and collaborating on internship programs and courses
- Maintains professional memberships
- Participates in UNE scholarly and leadership activities
- Supports UNE in recruiting, retention, student services, alumni services, and community involvement
- Supports the College of Arts and Sciences and the University of New England in its mission
