Two male Harp seals were released at Granite Point in Biddeford June 18, following their convalescence at the Marine Mammal Rehabilitiation Center at the University of New England's Marine Science Education and Research Center.

One seal, which arrived at UNE March 28, had recovered from fishing net injuries sustained off the coast of Cape Cod. The second seal had recovered from dehydration and kidney problems. He had beached on the New Hamshire coast and arrived at UNE April 16.
