imageAlumni of the University of New England's psychology, neuroscience, animal behavior, and psychology and social relations programs have many options after graduation. Students may choose to enter the world of work or attend graduate school in psychology or in a related discipline.

Job Opportunities:
After graduation, our students have secured positions as mental health counselors, caseworkers, research assistants, youth and family counselors, head start teachers, special education technicians, crisis counselors, lacrosse coach, trainer of seeing-eye dogs, animal husbandry, and other positions.  You may want to check out some of our recent alumni profiles.

Graduate school options:
Our students have attended graduate school in clinical psychology, counseling, forensic psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, occupational therapy, elementary guidance counseling, special education, school psychology, expressive therapy, law, landscape architecture, business administration and other areas.

Pre-Med and Pre-Health Professions Options:
Students who may be interested in attending medical school or graduate programs in occupational or physical therapy can major in psychobiology and earn all the prerequisites for these programs while completing a psychology degree.

UNE Master of Social Work Program:
Students also have the opportunity to take accelerated course work in the UNE Master of Social Work Program during the summers of their junior and senior years. Website.
