Personal Interests
Kilian Garvey running marathonI am working on a few related projects right now, some have reached the experimental stage, some are still being developed philosophically and methodologically. They all pretty much relate to a central theme: how might individual differences in involuntary, unconscious, autonomic nervous system reactions predict or explain higher level cognitive paradigms. These research interests have been influenced by my previous academic and professional experiences: I studied philosophy and history of religions as an undergraduate, I was an AmeriCorps volunteer, and I served four years in Naval Security as a Russian cryptolinguist.
