Field Instructor and Preceptor Resources

The College of Health Professions, located on the University of New England's Westbrook College Campus in Portland prepares graduates to assume entry level and advanced professional positions in the ever-changing health and health care environments.  CHP's academic programs include dental hygiene, health services management, nursing, nurse anesthesia, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant, and social work.

The CHP Field Instructor and Preceptor (FIP) Committee is comprised of the clinical coordinators of each of the academic programs of CHP.  The primary charge of the committee is to engage the practice community with the College through outreach and innovative programming for internal and external constituents.  The FIP Committee and associate provost  Ellen Beaulieu, Ed.D., were instrumental in developing and obtaining approval of a formal benefit package for adjunct community faculty.
