Health services managers plan, direct, coordinate, supervise and evaluate the delivery of healthcare services.
Managers can work in a wide variety of settings, such as hospitals, corporate human resources offices, research organizations, long-term care facilities, physician group practices, HMOs, government policy offices, rehabilitation clinics, and more.
Positions for health services managers are expected to grow, with opportunities especially good in home health care, long-term care and nontraditional health organizations, such as managed care operations and consulting firms – particularly for health services managers with work experiences in the health care field and strong business and management skills.
Upon graduation, our students are ready to step right into responsible management positions in the health care environment.
