2nd Annual Doctor of Physical Therapy Student Scholarship Symposium

The Department of Physical Therapy convened its Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Student Scholarship Symposium on December 17 and 18 in Ludcke Auditorium on the Westbrook College Campus.

Sixteen DPT students from the class of 2008 presented their research report or case report to the University community in 15-minute platform presentations modeled after the format used at conferences of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Research reports are the outcome of the student’s research project sponsored by a faculty advisor.  Case reports describe the student’s experiences working with a patient during their clinical practicum this summer.

Michael Fillyaw, PT, MS, Associate Professor, Department of Physical Therapy, moderated the event, which was attended by students, faculty, and clinicians.
