Special Interests
    Primary and secondary trauma, crisis intervention, and addictions. Conducts Critical Incident Stress Debriefings in Maine and Virginia with diverse groups, including school, mental health centers, police, fire, and rescue personnel, jail personnel. Consults with mental health facilities throughout the country, and maintains a small private consulting practice where he specializes in work with trauma survivors. He has written and extensively and presents internationally on primary and secondary traumatization; his most recent article is titled Compassion Fatigue: When the Helper Needs Help.
