MatureCare

MatureCare is a geriatric physician and physician-extender practice specializing in care and services for SNF/NF, assisted living facility patients and residents.

The practice is comprised of a team of more than 14 professionals - including physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, a licensed multi-level facility administrator, and clinical social workers - as well as several office staff members.

We have contracts with a dozen or more long-term care facilities, from Augusta to Kennebunk, for medical director/physician and physician-extender services. Patients/residents are also served by MatureCare staff in facilities other than those with medical director/physician and physician-extender services contracts in place.

The physicians and/or NP’s are in the facilities 1 to 2 plus days each week, depending on the resident care needs of the facilities. (Medical director duties vary according to the unique needs of each facility and are specified in contracts). Call-coverage is provided 24/7/365.

MatureCare hosts 1-2-day education sessions for contracted facilities. Administrators and two additional staff are invited to attend these educational sessions. CEU’s are earned at the sessions.

In-service education sessions are part of each facility medical director contract and the number of sessions per year varies according to individual contract terms. These sessions are scheduled with the UNE Division on Aging office by each facility, and are scheduled on a first-requested, first-served basis. (Additional costs are incurred by the facility only if the number of sessions exceed those outlined in the contract for services.

Consulting/quality/audit services are available upon request and will be designed to fit the unique needs of the long-term care organization. Other services are available.

Prices for all services and/or contracts are competitive within the local and national LTC community marketplace and are individualized to fit the specific needs of each facility.
