What we do: Ice Storm
  • Apply rational planning methods and expert knowledge to improve emergency preparedness for all hazards and specific health threats
  • Assist private sector and government agencies in assessing and planning readiness to respond during a health care emergency
  • Identify improvements to emergency response systems to enhance coordination, timeliness, and effectiveness  
Service Components:
  1. Assess current capacity of public and private health organizations and systems to respond to public health threats and emergencies
  2. Provide comprehensive planning to address gaps in emergency preparedness and response systems at the local, regional and state level
  3. Design resource, communication and integration strategies to address critical public health threats and emergencies based on best practice standards
