The University of New England held its 175th Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 22. One-hundred ten graduates earned their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Sixteen earned their Master of Science in Medical Education Leadership degree, with nine participating in the ceremony.
That same afternoon the College of Osteopathic Medicine held its Physician Hooding Ceremony where both the D.O. and MMEL graduates were officially hooded. Brian Brock, D.O., and Stephen C. Shannon, D.O. '86, MPH, were awarded the Pioneer of Osteopathic Medicine medal; Dr. Shannon offered comments as the hooding ceremony speaker. Adam Lauer, D.O.
