Congratulations to the UNECOM Class of 2008!

UNECOM’s 27th annual Commencement Ceremony was held on Saturday, June 7, at the Merrill Auditorium in Portland. A reception followed. 123 graduates earned their Doctor of Osteopathy degree; 15 students - 3 of them also D.O. students - earned their Master of Public Health degree. Stephen Shannon, D.O., former Dean of UNECOM, was the speaker.

The COM Office of Recruitment, Student, and Alumni Services (RSAS) is designed to meet the needs of medical students from recruitment through alumnus status. The office is considered a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of needs and issues.

Staff are eager to assist potential students learn more about UNECOM through regional receptions, campus visits, and interviewing for admission. Once admitted, staff work with students in the areas of leadership development, student organization support, personal support, event planning, and more. Alumni will find this office of great value as they remain connected to the UNECOM Community.

The office prides itself on being a resource for all those with whom it comes into contact by helping to cut red tape, serving as an advocate for various needs, and lending a listening ear when needed.
