Scanning Laser Confocal Microscope

The Leica TCS SP5 Confocal microscope (purchased 2/12)

Utilizing a unique tandem system, it has a conventional scanner that offers true confocal data acquisition while a resonance scanner option delivers additional highspeed sensitivity, especially useful for imaging live samples. High signal to noise ratios are characteristic of Leica’s unique system of fully adjustable detectors, resulting in efficient collection of emission signal. It is relatively straightforward to learn and to operate.
