Emergency Preparedness and Response
Evacuation Plan
The purpose of any evacuation is to empty a building or area of all occupants as quickly and safely as possible.
Building evacuation: In cases requiring the evacuation of one building (fire, explosion, bomb threat) occupants should proceed to the designated meeting area.
General evacuation: When orders are given to evacuate one building or multiple buildings after a major disaster, occupants should proceed to the evacuation meeting area as directed by the Department of Safety and Security.
The Department of Safety and Security and/or other emergency personnel will be available to direct occupants to safe areas.
Evacuation of disabled and injured persons will be given the highest priority and evacuated in the most expeditious and safest means available.
Occupants should gather in the predetermined meeting assembly area and await further instructions.
Do not re-enter the building(s) until instructed to do so by the Department of Safety and Security.

| Champlain Hall | Go to the Freddy Hall Parking Lot - Do Not impede Emergency Response Vehicles. |

| Computer Lab, lower level | Go to lawn between Decary & Stella Maris. |
| Entrance closest to Residence Hall Access Rd | Go to center of lawn between Hills Beach Rd. & the Residence Hall Access Rd. |
| Entrance facing Stella Maris | Go at least ½ way onto lawn between Stella Maris and Decary. |
| Exits from Cafeteria/Kitchen | Go to either Library or Stella Maris lawn. |
| Main Entrance | Go to the front lawn by the park bench. |
| East Hall | Exit along the rear of the building (toward Frederick Hall). Assemble in parking area between Frederick Hall and the back parking lot of the Campus Center. |

| Siena Hall | Go to walkway to Library. |
| Stella Maris: All exits | Go either to lawn in front of Stella Maris or to lawn between Decary & Stella Maris. |
| Welcome Cottage | Leave the building and group in the parking lot. |
| West Hall | Exit along the rear of the building (toward quad) follow sidewalk leading to the quad area. Assemble on long sidewalk that points directly at the center of the quad, behind Avila. |
