Research and Scholarship

Research Interests

My specialty is in the area of children and stress.  I have developed an assessment of stress in children, a stress management program for children, and an intergenerational wellness program.  I have also conducted research on child abuse reporting by school officials.  My interest is in community-based prevention programs for children and youth.

Current Research or Scholarship

I am currently involved in two state-wide initiatives for children: the Diversion to Assets Grant which is an intervention program for first time juvenile offenders, and the College-Community Mentoring Grant which pairs young children with college mentors.
