Financial Aid

Truth in Lending Act

The new Federal Truth in Lending Act (TILA) requires the University of New England to provide you four documents of information regarding the Nursing, Primary Care and UNECOM Direct Tuition Credit Loans.  Students must confirm receipt of these documents in order to receive the loan funds.  You will need your FAFSA PIN# to log in.  The required documents are:

-Solicitation and Application Document
-First Disclosure Approval Document
-Self-Certification Form
-Final Disclosure Approval

Students may access these forms at the ACS Website.  Please follow the instructions provided at the site to confirm your receipt and understanding of these documents.  ACS recommends temporarily disabling and pop-up blocking software on your computer while visiting this site.

The TILA documents apply only to UNE borrowers who have been awarded Nursing, Primary Care and UNECOM Direct Tuition Credit Loans.

Your loan will not disburse until you have completed this process.  If you have questions about your UNE Financial Aid award, please contact the Financial Aid Office at 207.602.2342 or at finaid@une.edu.  If you have questions about the TILA loan documents, please contact Doug Beasley in the Business Office at 207.221.4201.
