Peter J. Morgane, Ph.D. Establishes $1 Million Legacy
Longtime UNECOM faculty member and researcher, Peter J. Morgane, Ph.D., has come forward with a $1 million gift that will benefit the COM biomedical research building in honor of his late wife, Cécile Morgane.
"My goal is to get the biomedical research building up and running. I hope my gift and additional challenge will encourage others to support this important facility for UNECOM’s future."

The Morgane Challenge
In addition to Peter Morgane’s $1 million gift, he issued a challenge – if the UNECOM community contributed $300,000 by December 31, 2007, Dr. Morgane would increase his gift by $300,000. Through the contributions and support of many, the Morgane Challenge was not only met, but exceeded, resulting in over $450,000 in additional support for the new research center!
