University Health Services
The University of New England and Southern Maine Medical Center (SMMC) are pleased to announce that effective Jan. 1, 2012, University Health Care at 655 US Route 1, Saco, and and the University of New England Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine in the Alfond Building on the UNE Biddeford Campus are now combined as an office of SMMC PrimeCare Physician Services.
These two services - SMMC PrimeCare Family Practice and SMMC Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine services - are now both located at the Saco site.
- SMMC Walk-In Care, the community’s first no-appointment-necessary walk-in clinic for minor medical care needs, will also open at this site in spring 2012.
- The UNE College of Osteopathic Medicine physicians at the Saco site are now practicing within SMMC PrimeCare and will continue as university faculty.

Student Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine
The UNE College of Osteopathic Medicine student OMT clinics offer free OMT services to the public as part of the hands-on training of our students. Students are supervised by board-certified physicians who specialize in neuromusculoskeletal medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine.
