Assistant or Associate Professor

The School of Social Work at the University of New England is committed to a vision of sustainable, equitable, diverse communities committed to universal human rights and social and economic justice.  As a program within the College of Health Professions, the School views health as a state of complete physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being and a universal right.  We are committed to empowering and relational based practice models and methods at all levels of practice.  We believe social work knowledge is advanced through community action and practitioner activism.  Our advanced year consists of two concentrations:  Individual, Family, and Group (IFG) Practice, and Organizational and Community Practice (OCP).  We are currently seeking a faculty member to teach practice methods in the foundation and advanced course sequences and to model an integrated perspective within and between the two concentrations.  This position is a tenure track and requires teaching in both  traditional on campus and  distance based programs through the use of web-based educational technology.

Candidates must have a graduate degree in Social Work from a program accredited by CSWE and a doctorate in Social Work or a related discipline (or have ABD status).  A minimum of 2 years post MSW experience is required.  Interested persons should submit a letter of application detailing qualifications, a curriculum vita and a list of three references t
