Assistant Athletics Trainer – University of New England


The University of New England is accepting applications for the full-time (9 month) position of Assistant Athletics Trainer.  UNE is seeking highly-motivated professionals who possess strong administrative skills and have a proven background in the prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.  Candidates are required to have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with preference given to those candidates with a Master’s degree.  Applicants must be BOC, First Aid and CPR certified, and be licensed, or be eligible to be licensed, in the state of Maine.  Preference will be given to those candidates with experience as an Assistant Athletics Trainer at the collegiate level.  Salary is commensurate with experience, and the successful candidate’s appointment will begin August 3, 2009.  Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.  Deadline for applications to be received is May 1, 2009.  Please send a formal cover letter, professional resume and list of five references with contact information to: Cindy Locke, Human Resources Generalist, University of New England, 11 Hills Beach Road, Biddeford, ME 04005.  Materials can also be sent electronically to careers@une.edu
