Clinical Track Faculty Position
The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of New England is inviting applications for a full-time clinical faculty position in our Doctor of Physical Therapy program. This position is a twelve-month appointment with clinical practice, teaching, scholarship, and service required. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and manage an outpatient clinical practice. Clinical and teaching needs are related to physical therapy management of patients and clients with problems of the musculoskeletal system. Additional opportunities exist to teach in other courses in the curriculum, supervise student research, and assist in clinical education. Qualified applicants will have a clinical doctoral degree and/or ABPTS certification and teaching experience. Preference will be given to candidates with management experience in a physical therapy setting. Candidates must be eligible for physical therapy licensure in Maine. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.
Our accredited program was established in 1980 and is an integral part of the College of Health Professions, offering opportunities for participation in the College’s various interdisciplinary initiatives. These initiatives aim to provide students and faculty with opportunities to work collaboratively to promote the best possible care and health outcomes. College and department facilities include a Biomechanics Lab with EMG, video analysis and force plate equipment, in addition to a LiteGait body-weight support system, and high-tech human patient simulators.
