Public Health - Epidemiology Position
The University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM) invites applications for a TENURE or NON-TENURE FACULTY POSITION (Assistant/AssociateProfessor) in the Department of Community Programs to begin Summer or Fall 2008. Expertise in population health research and practice is essential. We seek applicants using population health research methods to study various public health issues. Experienced investigators with current funding support are preferred, however, junior faculty with highly innovative research programs with potential for extramural funding are also encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in seeking an individual who can teach epidemiology in the graduate public health program and health profession program, and the population health course in our osteopathic school.

Skills should include the ability to teach graduate level health care students in a traditional classroom setting, teach web-based courses that reach graduate public health students in rural areas of the Northeast and advise graduate students, residents in our family practice residency program, and faculty within UNECOM and the College of Health Professions on their research
The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an independent research program in his/her area of expertise that attracts extramural funding and participate in interdisciplinary research collaborations. All applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a one to two page statement outlining their research interests and experience, a description of teaching experience, and names of three references. Review of applications will commence on April 15, 2007 and will continue until the position is filled.
