Two Psychology Positions Openings
Associate Professor of Psychology
The University of New England invites applications for a tenure-track Associate Professor position beginning August 25, 2008. Preference will be given to candidates who have advanced training in experimental/biological psychology. The teaching load is three courses per semester and may include Research Methods, Statistics, Biological Basis of Behavior, Sensation and Perception, Learning and Memory, Behavioral Neuroscience, Health Psychology, or special topics courses. Area of research interest is open. Record of excellence in undergraduate teaching and an active program of scholarship required.
Assistant Professor of Psychology – Half-Time
The University of New England invites applications for a half-time position beginning August 25, 2008. Ph.D. completed by start date; teaching experience required. Preference will be given to candidates who have advanced training in either clinical/child or developmental. The teaching load is two courses per semester and may include Abnormal, Theories of Personality, Introduction to Psychology, Human Development, or Children and Stress. Area of research interest is open. Record of excellence in undergraduate teaching and an active program of scholarship required.
The Department of Psychology at the University of New England is an ten-member department enrolling over 200 students in three majors: Psychology, Psychobiology, and Psychology and Social Relations. Review of applications will begin February 15th, 2008 and continue until the positions are filled.
