Job Description
The University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Physiology. We seek an outstanding individual with demonstrated excellence in teaching respiratory and cardiovascular physiology to participate in the development and delivery of an innovative, interdisciplinary medical curriculum. In addition, the successful candidate will join a growing group of funded investigators studying diabetes, fibrosis, ischemia, inflammation, and chronic pain. Outstanding research space with state-of-the-art shared instrumentation is available. Maine’s only medical school, UNECOM is located on the southern Maine coast, 90 minutes north of Boston. The appointment will be made at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank.
Qualifications
Applicants at the Assistant Professor level must have a doctoral degree, at least two years of postdoctoral training and a strong publication re-cord.
To be considered at the Associate Professor level, candidates must have an established research program with success in obtaining extramural support.
