Job Description

The University of New England’s Biology Department invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Microbiology, to contribute to our expanding program in Cellular and Molecular Biology. 

Qualifications

Applicants will be expected to provide excellent teaching in upper level courses in their area of expertise (e.g., bacteriology or virology), and in existing introductory and intermediate level courses like general biology, microbiology, and/or genetics. The desired candidate would have research interests that utilize molecular and cellular techniques and involve undergraduate and/or master’s level students. Requirements include a doctoral degree in a relevant field and evidence of teaching and research potential.
