Job Description

The Department of Psychology at the University of New England invites applications for two tenure-track positions to start August 30th, 2010. Ph.D. must be completed by start date; teaching experience is required. The teaching load is six courses per year and all candidates will be expected to produce meaningful scholarship in their specialty area. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in cognitive or developmental psychology, and who can contribute to our major by teaching statistics and/or research methodology. 

The Department of Psychology at the University of New England is a nine-member department enrolling over 175 students in four majors: Psychology, Animal Behavior, Neuroscience, and Psychology and Social Relations.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

  • A doctoral degree in psychology
  • Teaching experience

Preferred qualifications include expertise/experience in:

  • cognitive or developmental psychology
  • ability to teach statistics and/or research methods
  • applications from candidates who can contribute to our animal behavior and/or neuroscience majors are encouraged
