Project Coordinator Job Description

The Project Coordinator will be the primary person responsible for facilitating youth through the Diversion to Assets process.  As such, the Coordinator will receive and process all referrals and engage in the necessary communication and outreach to ensure the process is completed in a timely fashion.  In addition, the Coordinator will be responsible for providing monthly updates to the Biddeford communities for Children and Youth (BC4CY) coalition, as well as weekly updates to the University of New England.  The project coordinator will be responsible for collecting required data, completing all required reports, and assisting with data monitoring and evaluation.  This is a part-time position for 12-15 hours a week starting immediately and continuing as long as grant funds are available (at least one year).

Desired qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated applicable education and experience
  • Familiarity with resources and organizations in the Biddeford area
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working in an office setting and/or comfort using computers, email, phone, and fax
  • Ability to organize information and track data collection
  • Flexibility to meet with participants on evenings or weekends
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines and effectively execute responsibilities in 15 hours a week or less
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Skills in facilitating meetings between offenders, victims, and community members

This is a contracted position based on availability of grant funds.
