Job Description
The University of New England is seeking applications for a faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the College of Pharmacy. Construction of the state-of-the-art College of Pharmacy academic and research facility has been completed at UNE's Portland Campus. The 48,000-square-foot building is the first facility devoted entirely to pharmacy academic studies and research in the state of Maine. Located on the beautiful southern coast of Maine, UNE is an innovative health-sciences University grounded in the liberal arts.
Assistant/Associate Professor, Pharmacy Practice - A full-time, tenure-track, appoint is available starting January 1, 2012. The expectations of this faculty position include directing and teaching a healthcare administration course, working effectively with other faculty to develop an advanced ambulatory practice site for experiential education and scholarship. Opportunities for inter-professional education with the UNE College of Osteopathic Medicine, College of Health Professions, College of Dental Medicine, and College of Public Health are encouraged and promoted. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a terminal degree in Pharmacy and postgraduate training. Preference will be given to individuals with prior academic pharmacy experience and/or board certification.
