The Blackboard Learning System is UNE's Online Course Management System (CMS). The UNE Online Learning System is available to all faculty and staff at UNE for the development of courses and online training programs. This service is funded and hosted by UNE. There are no charge-backs or cost to faculty, staff or their departments.

The UNE Online Learning System can provide students with quick access to class materials, assignments, course calendars, syllabi, course content as well as offering a host of other tools designed specifically to assist in meeting student learning needs. Students appreciate being able to access class information and content conveniently from any location with access to the Web.

Primarily, these online tools are used to enhance traditional courses and to prepare students in clinical clerkships, rotations, and other field work at UNE.

The UNE Online Learning System can be used to post basic class materials or to design a course that fully prepares students in advance of class meetings to insure that they are taking responsibility for their learning. Our version of this software is fully capable of supporting web-based online courses.
