Uploading a Class List
There are presently three basic ways to populate a Class List in a specific course.

Open Registration (Self Enrollment): In open registration, students can self enroll in the course. Faculty are advised that Blackboard/WebCT only recommends this method for classes under 30 students. Whenever possible, faculty should schedule a computer classroom to assist their students with course registration/enrollment. |

Course Designer Manual Entry: Course designers can manually add students to the desired course, provided that he/she knows what each students' Blackboard/WebCT Login ID is (e.g. jsmith1). Faculty are advised that this option is recommended for classes with 12 students or less. |

Blackboard/WebCT Class List Upload Service: Contact ITS to access this service. ITS will create a Blackboard/WebCT friendly class list from Banner that will be sent to Blackboard/WebCT to auto-populate your Blackboard/WebCT course. To request this service, there is a form to fill out. Faculty that are interested in this service are advised to request it at least three working days prior to the start of the class. Faculty are also advised that this service applies only to the initial population of the course and that they are responsible for any add/drops for the duration of the course. |
