Library Services for UNE Affiliates

Who is a UNE Affiliate?

A UNE affiliate is a professional in the field who works with UNE students or one of the university’s academic departments in a clinical, research or field education role. UNE academic departments grant affiliate status to recognize field educators and researchers for their contributions.

UNE affiliates can use the following library services:

Borrowing: Affiliates may use the libraries on either campus during the hours we are open to the public. Borrowing will require a UNE Library Card, which are available upon request by emailing librarycirc@une.edu. For additional information, as well as borrowing policies, visit the Libraries’ Borrowing web page.

Online Access: Affiliates will receive a login and password to access UNE Libraries’ databases, ebooks, streaming video and other resources.

Research Services: Librarians are available for research consultation at either campus location, by phone or by email. Contact us or Ask a Librarian to set up an appointment. For more information, visit Get Help

Affiliates with a valid Nor'Easter ID are also able to utilize RefWorks and Interlibrary Loan services.

Do I need a library card?

Only if you are local to one of our campus locations and would like to borrow books, DVDs and other library items. If you would like a library card, please email librarycirc@une.edu.

How do I get a login and password?

Your UNE department liaison will provide you with a login and password for access. If you have not received a department code and password, or if they have expired or been misplaced, please contact the UNE department with which you are affiliated. The library is not able to give out affiliate passwords without express approval from a UNE department.

My password doesn’t work anymore!

Passwords are re-set annually. Please contact your UNE department liaison to obtain an updated password. The library is not able to give out affiliate passwords without express approval from a UNE department.
