Covers international biomedical literature and includes MEDLINE records plus records from thousands of additional journals.  Commonly used to track drugs and devices, and to support systematic reviews.

Enciclopedia Universal en Espanol Online

comprehensive online encyclopedia in the Spanish language containing thousands of articles, images, maps and tables for native Spanish speakers, bi-lingual students and students learning Spanish. Link to the Enciclopedia Juvenil for a Spanish elementary encyclopedia, videos and learning materials for younger students.  State of Maine funded.

Encyclopaedia Britannica Online Reference Center Public Library Edition

Includes four complete encyclopedias: Encyclopedia Britannica, Compton's, Britannica Elementary, and Britannica Concise. Also Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, Collegiate Thesaurus, Dictionary of Quotations, timelines, an atlas, and links to web sites chosen by the editors.  State of Maine funded.

Environment Complete

ERIC - EBSCO

An online library of education research and information from the Institute of Education Services of the U.S. Department of Education. Essential for education researchers, it includes indexed and full-text resources back to 1966,  from journal articles, books, conference papers, curriculum guides, policy papers and more. State of Maine funded. 

ERIC Education Resources Information Center

An online library of education research and information, sponsored by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) of the U.S. Department of Education. Essential for education researchers, it includes indexed and full-text educational resources back to 1966,  from journal articles, books, conference papers, curriculum guides, policy papers and more.  

Ethnic NewsWatch

Ethnic NewsWatch is an interdisciplinary, bilingual (English and Spanish) and comprehensive full text database of the newspapers, magazines and journals of the ethnic, minority and native press. Designed to provide the "other side of the story," ENW titles offer additional viewpoints from those proffered by the mainstream press.

European Views of the Americas

A comprehensive guide to printed records about the Americas written in Europe before 1750 from  “European Americana: A Chronological Guide to Works Printed In Europe Relating to The Americas, 1493-1750".  Co-developed by the John Carter Brown Library, this authoritative bibliography is respected by scholars worldwide.
