Academic Technology
Media Services offers equipment-specific training for all of our users. This includes instruction on installed equipment (Media Carts and Videoconference) and training on rental gear. For training on a specific piece of equipment, please make an appointment in advance. We also schedule faculty and staff training sessions for some of the more complex rooms at the beginning of each semester. For individualized training, please call to make an appointment.
Media Solutions
Consulting, planning, and installation of AV technology for classroom and event space. If you're planning to purchase audio-visual technologies, we encourage you to speak with us to assist with system design, procurement, installation, training and service related issues.
Event planning and A/V Recording
Coordinate with departments to provide appropriate equipment set up for campus wide functions. Media staff is available to run the equipment for high profile events.
Equipment set-ups to record a class or presentation may be arranged and instruction will be provided in operating the equipment. Given our workload we cannot provide staff to run the equipment for these requests.
Creative Services
Media Services supports UNE faculty, students, and staff wishing to create and deliver images, sound, video and text in digital formats. We offer support to users with a range of experience, from novice to expert. Hardware and software is available for image creation and non-linear video editing, CD-ROM and DVD creation, and document conversion. Professional staff is available for consultation and instruction by appointment.
Photographic & Digital Imaging Services
Professional quality images for archival, print, publication and web related projects. We provide portrait, event, medical and editorial photography for members of the UNE community.
Video Design Services
Conceptualize and create digital video productions (documentary, training, educational, fundraising, commercial television, recruitment, promotional, achievement, and web-based) for the university. We produce digital video and audio productions to support UNE’s faculty, students, and staff endeavors. We consult with clients to determine their communication goals, objectives and target audience before designing programs to meet their needs. Prices available upon request.
Copy Services
Available in film or digital format: created from digital images, books, photos, artwork, and other sources.
Slide to Digital Conversion
Convert existing slides to digital format. High-resolution scanner that will accept slides and negatives in all formats up to 15” X 20”.
Duplication
DVD, CD, audiocassette duplication.
Digitizing
Create digital files for power point presentations, format conversion, and video files for the Web. Video encoded on to DVD/CD
