PubMed Central (PMC) is a free digital archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), developed and managed by NIH's National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) in the National Library of Medicine (NLM). With PubMed Central, NLM aims to preserve and maintain access to the electronic literature. All the articles in PMC are free, though sometimes on a delayed basis.

Zoological Record is a comprehensive index to zoological literature covering from 1864 to present. Records cover every aspect of zoology, including biochemistry, behavior, ecology evolution, genetics, and so forth.
