UNE has two libraries: the Jack S. Ketchum Library on the University Campus (Biddeford) and the Josephine S. Abplanalp Library on the Westbrook College Campus (Portland). If an item is owned by the UNE Libraries, but is located at the "other" campus library, UNE faculty/staff/students/alumni holding a valid UNE ID may request that an item be express delivered to their "home" campus library.  Borrowed items may be returned to either campus library.

Is there a charge for Intercampus Express?

There is no charge for books, videos, DVDs, or CDs. Journal articles are copied at 10 cents per page, and cash payment is due upon pickup. Faculty and staff may charge photocopies to their departmental accounts.

What is the delivery time for Intercampus Express requests?

Intercampus Express requests are processed Monday through Friday, except holidays. Delivery is generally 24-48 hours. Borrowers are notified by email when the item has arrived.

How do I request an item through Intercampus Express?

Book, Video, DVD, or CD requests: Search the UNE Libraries' catalog for an item. When a title is selected, a record is displayed. If the item is located at the "other" campus library:

· click on REQUEST
· Enter your name and UNE ID barcode number
· Choose your preferred UNE campus library for pickup
· Click on REQUEST SELECTED ITEM

Journal article request: Search the UNE Libraries' catalog for a journal title. Journals may be available in print or electronic format. When a title is selected, a record is displayed, and it has been confirmed that the journal volume/issue is NOT available in full text online or is located only at the "other" campus library, submit an Intercampus Express Article Request.

What if I cannot find an item in the UNE Libraries' catalog?

Books not found in the UNE Libraries' catalog may be requested through MaineCat. Books not available in MaineCat may be requested through Interlibrary Loan. Journal articles not available in the UNE Libraries' catalog or not accessible in full text online may also be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
