A full-text database focusing on the impact of gender across a broad spectrum of subject areas. Topics include family, childbirth, domestic abuse, work, sexual harassment, aging, body image, eating disorders ,social roles and more. Includes content on the impact of gender on areas such as the arts,  education, politics, religion, and more.

JSTOR

Provides online access to back issues of core scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, & sciences. The current 2-5 years are not included, but complete back runs are provided whenever possible.

Oxford English Dictionary

The Oxford English Dictionary (OED) is widely regarded as the accepted authority on the English language. As a historical dictionary, the OED is very different from those of current English, in which the focus is on present-day meanings. You'll still find these in the OED, but you'll also find the history of individual words, and of the language. Every three months updates revise existing entries and add new words.

World Data Analyst Online

World Data Analyst offers detailed statistical comparisons of countries around the world, using both the most recent statistics and historical figures. One creates tables, charts, export the information to a spreadsheet for printing and data crunching, and also link to country articles in Encyclopedia Britannica. State of Maine funded.
