Maine Center for Aging Complementary and Alternative Therapies for Older Adults
The Seventh Annual University of Maine Geriatrics Colloquium
May 7, 2012, Point Lookout Resort and Conference Center, Northport, Maine

This conference brings together experts in the field of complementary and alternative medicine to examine some of the the most common forms of alternative interventions utilized by older adults. It is intended for social workers, counselors, nurses, physicians, psychologists, practitioners of complementary and alternative interventions and other providers working in the field of aging. Presenters will include experts in the field of complementary and alternative medicine as well as those individuals addressing the ethics and policies surrounding alternative forms of treatment.

2012 Osteopathic Manual Medicine Series

Manual medicine, an Osteopathic approach, sponsored in part by the MaineHealth Osteopathic Heritage Fund Overview and the UNE College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and the Department of Continuing Medical Education.

A beginner course for a multitude of health care professionals: D.O's, M.D's, P.T's, P.A.'s and other health care professionals interested in learning the basic tenents of or increasing their skills in osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) Accreditation. The university of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine is dually accredited by the American Osteopathic Association and the Maine Medical Association's Council on Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  Each introductory session is eligible for a maximum of 8.0 category 1A osteopathic credits and 8.0 AMA PRA category 1 credits.  The Saturday/Sunday sessions are eligible for a maximum of 12.0 CME credits. Stanford Geriatric Education Center (SGEC)
